Workshops

John has taught for the America Academy of Equine Art, Fredericksburg Artists School, and Scottsdale Artists School.  He currently gives a "beginning & intermediate" horse painting workshop in Texas for Fredericksburg Artists School yearly and an "advanced" workshop at his Colorado ranch.  Working from 20 years experience in the veterinary profession, he stresses the importance of both correct applied anatomy and the importance of body language in painting horses in watercolor and oil.  In depth discussions in practical anatomy, painting demonstrations, slide shows, and individual attention are covered in the 5 day course.
